Fall 1999
The Case Western Reserve University Macintosh User Group, CWRUMUG, was formed as an official organization of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), designed to be a resource for Macintosh users of the University and to promote awareness of the platform.
(Recently)
CWRUMUG joined the Case Western Reserve University chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) as a special interest group, referred to as a SIG. CWRUMUG then became known as SIGMAC. Though the name changed, SIGMAC's mission remained to provide a great resource for Macintosh users.
Spring 2006
SIGMAC split off from the ACM and became an independent Undergraduate Student Government (USG) organization. Case undergraduates were able to join the group to help provide funding from USG.
